TAX SERVICES / BUSINESS & PERSONAL

Get help preparing
your tax return.

Tax preparation for business owners who want to understand what’s needed, what’s being filed and what comes next. Personal tax preparation is available, too.

Free 15-minute Discovery Call. Discuss service fit and scope, not detailed tax advice.

YOUR RECORDS.A conversation
that puts them in context.

Tax help starts with your situation.

You don’t have to arrive with all the answers. Choose the starting point that sounds like you.

You run a business.

Your business activity and personal return may be connected. We start with your business structure, records and filing needs, then confirm the returns and locations where filing is required we can support.

You need personal tax help.

Income, work or family circumstances may have changed. Bring your questions so we can identify the preparation support that fits your situation.

You’re not sure where to begin.

Missing records, an unfamiliar notice or an approaching deadline? Explain the situation first. We’ll confirm whether it fits our services and what the next step involves.

Availability depends on your circumstances and the work required. A Discovery Call does not establish an engagement or extend a filing deadline.

Know what the work includes.

Your agreement identifies the tax year, returns, locations where filing is required, fees and responsibilities before preparation starts.

A relevant document request

A list based on your situation, with follow-up questions when a record is missing or something needs explaining.

Preparation from your records

Preparation of the agreed returns using the information you provide, with questions addressed as the work progresses.

A review before filing

An opportunity to review the completed return, ask questions and provide the required filing authorization.

A clear handoff

A copy of your return and an explanation of the filing status and any payment or follow-up steps that need your attention.

Preparation is not every tax service in one. Bookkeeping cleanup, planning, amendments and representation are not automatically included. We confirm availability and separate scope before any additional work.

From first conversation to filing.

Four stages, with your review built into the process.

  1. 01

    Confirm the fit

Discuss your situation, tax year, filing needs and any deadlines. We confirm whether we can take on the work.

  2. 02

    Agree on scope and fees

Review what is included, the price and each party’s responsibilities. Sign the agreement before preparation begins.

  3. 03

    Gather records. Resolve questions.

Receive your document request and the agreed sharing instructions. We identify gaps and follow up on anything that needs clarification.

  4. 04

    Review and authorize filing

Review the return and ask about anything you do not understand. Provide the required authorization, then receive your copy and the agreed filing follow-up.

You provide complete information, respond to questions and review your return before signing.

Timing is confirmed for your engagement. Missing records or unanswered questions can change the schedule.

FEES AGREED BEFORE WORK

Business returns from $1,250.
Personal returns from $500.

Return type, business structure, income sources, states involved and the condition of your records affect the scope. Business and personal returns are identified separately in your proposal. Multi-state filings, amendments, multiple entities, bookkeeping gaps and complex partner or shareholder situations require a separate scope and quote.

Know the preparation fee and any separate review or cleanup charges before that work begins. Additional work requires agreement on scope, price and timing.

Tell us about your tax needs.
We’ll explain which records to gather.

  • The tax year and whether you need business, personal or both types of preparation.
  • Your business structure, if applicable, and the states involved.
  • Changes in income or circumstances since your last return.
  • Any missing records, notices or deadlines you already know about.

You do not need to upload tax returns or identity documents to book. The detailed document list follows after scope is agreed.

Before you book.

What if my business books aren’t current?

Tell us at the start. Missing or unreconciled records may require bookkeeping cleanup before the return can be completed. That work is scoped separately. Explore bookkeeping support.

Can you handle my business and personal returns?

We discuss both together and confirm the returns we can prepare based on your business structure, circumstances and locations where filing is required. A business engagement does not automatically include your personal return.

Does preparation include tax planning or help with an IRS notice?

Not automatically. Raise planning needs or a notice during the first conversation so we can confirm the right scope and whether we can assist. Preparation does not imply representation before the IRS.

How do I share sensitive documents?

Use the document-sharing method agreed for your engagement. Do not put Social Security numbers, tax returns, identification documents or account credentials in a booking form or ordinary email.

What if a deadline is approaching?

Tell us the date and the filing involved before booking. We must confirm capacity and the information needed. For federal individual income tax, an extension generally gives more time to file, not more time to pay. Read the IRS extension guidance.

Is the free Discovery Call a tax consultation?

No. It is a 15-minute conversation about your situation, service fit and scope. Detailed tax advice, document analysis and detailed recommendations require a separately scoped paid engagement.

Tell us what needs attention.
We’ll start there.
