Starting a nonprofit is more than a name.
Keliyah Solutions teaches founders and entrepreneurs how to approach nonprofit structure, startup paperwork and ongoing responsibilities. Support may include 501(c)(3) formation, Form 1023 or 1023-EZ preparation and filing, an EIN, articles and bylaws templates, a conflict-of-interest policy, board resolution templates, state registration assistance and a compliance calendar. We confirm the appropriate work and responsibilities before starting.
Incorporation as a nonprofit does not automatically provide federal income-tax exemption. Formation, exemption and ongoing requirements need to be considered separately.
A filing coming up? Start with your organization’s facts.
Keliyah Solutions helps nonprofits address annual filing responsibilities, including Form 990-series needs. Bring your prior filings, fiscal year, exemption information and any notice. We confirm the applicable work and records needed before quoting.
Most tax-exempt organizations have annual IRS return or notice obligations, with exceptions. The applicable filing depends on the organization—not simply on being “a nonprofit.”
Better reporting starts with usable records.
If statements, transactions or prior reports are incomplete, say so early. Bookkeeping work may need to come before filing preparation. Tell us about grants, donor restrictions and reporting commitments so they can be considered in the scope.
Don’t let a filing gap stay an unanswered question.
Organizations required to file an annual IRS return or notice automatically lose their tax-exempt status after three consecutive years of nonfiling. This can involve Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-PF or 990-N—not just one version of the 990.
Keliyah Solutions helps nonprofits address filing problems. Tell us what was missed and share the notice through the agreed document-sharing process. If status has already been revoked, we assess what support is appropriate; filing a missing return alone does not automatically restore exemption.
Know what we’re taking on. And what stays with your team.
After confirming fit, you receive a defined scope and fee for the agreed work. Your engagement sets out the documents, responsibilities and review points before you sign and work begins.
The work we agree to
The records, periods and specific preparation or compliance tasks included, plus any separate bookkeeping needed.
Your organization’s part
A designated contact, complete information, timely answers and an authorized person to review and approve submissions.
The review and handoff
Questions addressed, agreed documents reviewed, required authorization obtained and remaining responsibilities made clear.
A tax engagement is not a promise to handle every state, fundraising, grant or governance requirement. Legal services, audit or assurance work and grant writing are not included. Representation or reinstatement needs require a separate assessment and confirmed scope. Any additional work must be confirmed separately.
Fees depend on your organization’s status, the work and periods involved, record quality, filing complexity and any historical issues. We confirm the cost before you commit; additional work is agreed separately.
That is a reason to start a conversation. Tell us your status, activities and filing history. The $97 consultation covers your situation and how we can help; a determination that requires reviewing documents belongs in a separately scoped engagement.
What if a filing is already late?
Flag it when you book and describe any notice received. Timing and available next steps depend on the facts. Booking does not extend a deadline or guarantee acceptance, penalty relief or restoration of status.
Can you work with our treasurer?
Yes. We agree on a primary contact and who can approve the work. Your team supplies complete records, explains transactions and reviews the agreed documents before any required filing authorization.
Does this cover every nonprofit?
No blanket coverage is promised. We confirm the organization type, location and specific issue first. If your needs fall outside the engagement, we identify the limit rather than imply everything is covered.
Let’s talk about your organization.
Tell us what you’re responsible for and what needs attention. We’ll help define the right starting point.
